My passion for sea glass has been seen through my sea glass jewelry designs throughout the years, however my second passion is photography and I wanted to share some of my favorite photos I have taken of beach glass and shells along the coast of Maine.
Photography did not come easily at first, it was a trial and error journey over the years. I still really have no technical clue as to what I am doing with the camera, I just photograph what I see through my eyes and use the lens as my vehicle in which to reveal the colors and textures of the treasures from the sea. I love to capture the beauty of natural elements and preserve them in the original form when discovered on the sand. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. The beauty of these jewels is a true gift from the sea.

After The Storm
All is well in Maine after Irene has departed. Simply wasn’t as bad here as expected. Strong winds and rain, but otherwise minimal damage.
Off to the beach tomorrow to take a look at the condition of my favorite spot and hopefully some jewels will be sparkling in the sunlight. I still think, the best sea glass hunting will be more towards the end of the week, but I’ll give it a shot. You never know.

Attention Sea Glass Hunters, Hurricane Irene Is Making Its Way Towards The East Coast And Estimated To Be A Major Storm. To Start, I Hope Everyone Stays Safe And Be Sure To Stay Clear Of The Beaches And The Danger The Surf Will Bring At This Time.

After Irene Departs And The Weather And Beaches Are Safe, I Suggest Getting Your Beachcombing Bucket And Get Ready To Start Collecting Some Great Sea Glass Treasures That This Storm Is Sure To Stir Up And Deliver To The Coastal Beaches. We Have Collected Many Of Our Most Prized Sea Glass Collectibles Shortly After A Big Storm Has Passed Here In Maine. Make Sure To Wear Sturdy Shoes As Their Will Be A Lot Of Debris On The Beach Which May Be Dangerous To Step On If You Are Wearing Soft Soles. Some Of These Objects May Be Slightly Buried Under The Sand And Not Visible To The Eye But Close Enough To The Surface To Cause Injury. A Pair Of Leather Gloves May Not Be A Bad Idea, For Moving Debris Around To Find Some Of These Jewels.
Make Sure To Beachcomb At The High Tide Line, Wherever That May Be After This Storm Passes. We Have Found Sea Glass As Far As The Beach Parking Lots After A Serious NorEaster. You Will Continue To Find Sea Glass For Weeks After This Storm As The Tides Wash Away Layers Of Sand Exposing These Washed Up Gems.

New Beach Inspired Sea Glass Jewelry
There is nothing like a trip to the beach after a long cold winter in Maine to get some inspiration for new sea glass jewelry designs for this summer. Happy to report we are back to beachcombing without layers of clothes on and chilly winds beating against our faces. The flip flops are on and our beach bucket in hand to collect those precious sea glass treasures that the tides are leaving on the sand to be discovered with anticipation.
Here are a few of our latest sea glass bracelets we just recently finished. One of our favorites being a sterling silver bangle style bracelet featuring a rare red sea glass marble. It is said that years ago ships carried these to even out the load in their travels and eventually made their way to the ocean’s churning waves turning them into glistening frosted sea glass marbles. Also, many will say that sea glass marbles originated from a form of play when children used to sling shot them into the seas. The result being perfect compliments to our sea glass jewelry designs.
White sea glass jewelry may be one of the more common colors to find, however we are given this pure gem a bit of elegance with swarvoski crystals, freshwater pearls and unique sterling silver accents. Our inspiration for this piece was focused on summer beach weddings. We have sold several of these on our website for brides and special anniversary gifts, however this is not limited to just these special occassions.

We are so excited to be back at work in our studio creating our sea glass jewelry after several months of caring for our ill yorkie, Lily. She recently endured a liver shunt surgery and required months of careful monitoring and recovery, during the long winter months here in Maine. We are happy to say, she is back to herself.
We have just added several new unique sea glass bracelets with some very distinct and creative styles for spring and summer 2011. We are introducing several creations with handmade lampwork beads and unique beads to this years line of jewelry. We have combined these embellishments with beautiful natural sea glass colors ranging from pure pink to deep aqua blue, ideal for the warm weather which is on our doorstep.
